Joby Electric Skies Tour

Identity, motion, and campaign design

Identity and campaign design for Electric Skies, Joby’s 2026 US Barnstorming Tour, timed with the country’s 250th anniversary. Each tour stop is built around a public demonstration flight, followed by a teaser, a long-form film, and small-scale event design. Working with the entire marcom team, I designed the wordmark and the complete motion identity system.

Every tour stop gets a teaser and a long-form film. I developed the motion graphics for all of them alongside the content capture team.

livestream

With the data visualization, content, and IT teams, I built the livestream run of show and the software that drives its motion graphics live.

identity system

Construction of the Electric Skies wordmark: the L of Electric drops into the K of Skies as a bolt, set on a 9° slant and cut at 41°; the small Joby logo’s clearspace box lands on the cap line of Electric

The wordmark comes straight from the name: the L in Electric drops into the K in Skies as a custom bolt ligature. Its 9° slant carries through the motion identity, setting the angle of every transition and tying the system together.
